Returns & Refund Policy

At Elodie Couture, we are committed to complying with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and ensuring a fair and transparent returns process.

This policy outlines your rights and our obligations regarding returns, refunds, and cancellations.


Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure; and

  • Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage; and

  • Have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.


Change of Mind Returns (30-Day Policy)

In addition to your rights under the ACL, we offer a 30-day change of mind return policy.

You may request a return within 30 days of:

  • The date on which you receive the goods; or

  • The date on which the final item in your order is received (if items were delivered separately).

You must notify us within the 30-day period.

Conditions for Change of Mind Returns

To be eligible for a completion return:

  • The item must be unused and in its original condition

  • The item must be in its original packaging

  • Proof of purchase must be provided

You are responsible for the direct cost of return shipping for change of mind returns.

We reserve the right to refuse a return if the item shows signs of use, consumer damage, or handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product.


Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, not as described, or does not meet consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, please contact us immediately at:

Where a product is confirmed to have a major failure under the ACL, you are entitled to choose between:

  • A refund; or

  • A replacement.

For minor failures, we may choose to repair or replace the item within a reasonable timeframe.

We may request photographic evidence or further information to assess the issue.


Refund Process

Once your return is approved and the item is received (or proof of return is provided), we will process your refund within 30 days.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

Original shipping costs are refundable only where required under Australian Consumer Law (for example, in cases of major failure).


Return Shipping

For change of mind returns, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

For faulty or incorrectly supplied goods covered under Australian Consumer Law, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs.

Please contact us before returning any items. The return address listed on our parcels is not our authorised return address. The correct return address will be provided upon request.


Items Not Eligible for Return

Returns may not be accepted for:

  • Custom-made or personalised items

  • Goods that deteriorate rapidly or have a limited shelf life

  • Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons if opened after delivery

  • Sealed audio, video recordings, or software once opened

These exclusions do not apply where required by Australian Consumer Law.


Cancellation Before Dispatch

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch by contacting us at support@elodie-couture.com.

If your order has already been shipped, it must be treated as a return in accordance with this policy.
